The State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Mizoram, Pi Vanlaldiki Sailo, along with members of the Access Audit Team, conducted an access audit in Lawngtlai and Hnahthial District on 21-22 May, 2025.
The Commissioner and her team assessed several facilities, including the Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner's Office, Lawngtlai & Hnahthial, District Hospital, Lawngtlai & Hnahthial, Lai Autonomous District Council Office, Government Lawngtlai College, Government Hnahthial College, Government Higher Secondary School, Lawngtlai and Government Higher Secondary School Hnahthial.
During this access audit, they evaluated whether the buildings were equipped with ramps, railings, lifts, signage, tactile indicators, accessible toilets, and designated Grievance Redressal Officers for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
