The State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Mizoram, Pi Vanlaldiki Sailo, along with members of the Access Audit Team, conducted an access audit in Lunglei District on May 6, 2025.
The Commissioner and her team assessed several facilities, including the Lunglei Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Civil Hospital Lunglei, Christian Hospital Serkawn, Lunglei Municipal Council Office, Lunglei Government College, and Lunglei Higher Secondary School.
During this access audit, they evaluated whether the buildings were equipped with ramps, railings, lifts, signage, tactile indicators, accessible toilets, and designated Grievance Redressal Officers for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
